Seen here was a day of outings more for the local Singaporeans, rather than tourists. People were out shopping, or just looking around.

These days Chinatown is a favourite for tourists. The heartland has replaced Chinatown in its offerings for the local people. Durians have found their ways to fruit stalls at every mall of the heartland, leaving Chinatown durians to the adventurous tourists. That is, if they are daring enough to try its bitter sweetness, and not deterred by the pungent scent which some people find unpleasant.
